Consider Your Priorities

The effectual fervent prayers of the righteous really make a difference. Always remember that if we, who are called by Yahweh Yahshua’s name will humble ourselves and pray while seeking His face – He, Yah, will heal our land.

This morning I was able to spend time on the prayer call with our wonderful team of intercessors, led by Gloria Bradford, who was ordained at Faith Exchange this past Sunday.

This team prays daily and they always take the time to celebrate the many victories and breakthroughs that occur because of the consistent heartfelt prayers of people who dedicate them to pray. We all should be so very grateful that people pray for us with great commitment and with great power. If you are reading this letter, then I consider you to be a partner and I want you to know that you are prayed for.

For many years I traveled teaching the principles of Ephesians chapter 4. Helping people to discover and walk in their callings is always on my mind. Understanding that we are all called to do great things while knowing that no one can fully accomplish what they are called to do without collaborating with other people is central to the teachings of the Bible.

YHWH emphasizes in this Chapter – the importance of Unity — the importance of collaboration and the importance of learning to speak the common language of scripturally based truth. Grace has been given to all of us to accomplish our assignments. He reminds us of the example given to us in Jesus (Yahshua) the Christ (ha Moshiach).

He ascended, yes, but He also first descended. He came to our level in order to show us the way to ascend. He teaches us in various places in scripture to descend to help others. We are to bend down to lift each other up. We are to encourage others to find the strength to answer the heavenly call that each one of us has been given.

I ask that you read the 4th Chapter of Ephesians in its entirety and consider your priorities in light of the instructions that are expressed there. Teachers have been given to us to remind us of the basics that we are to work into our daily schedules. These Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers have been appointed to equip each one of us for the work of caring for people – spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and financially.

It is not enough to simply stand in the pulpit and teach a few times a week expecting the “hearers” to know what to do with the spoken – lecture style teaching – that comes forth. Time must be set apart for the individuals to speak back to the teacher what they have learned. In fact, from the very beginning the “hearer” must turn around and speak to others what they have learned. This process isn’t emphasized enough and I want to emphasize it with you.

We have all been strategically placed. We are surrounded by people that God wants to reach with the good news that forgiveness, redemption and even resurrection is available to everyone and anyone who will ask for it in the name of Yahshua (Jesus). Understanding that what we have freely received, we must pay that forward every opportunity we get.

Our Savior demonstrates this process in the Gospels. He interacts – in question and answer style – with His disciples. He wants to hear what they know, what they understand and what they are telling others. He also wants to know what other people are saying. In short, Yahshua listens. He listens and as teachers of “the way, the truth and the life” so must we be listeners.

We need to be trained in doctrine and trained in the training in the Spirit life that we are all aspiring to. Actively listen for the common language of the fruits of Spirit. We should use the Word of God to listen to see that what we are teaching is being paid forward and that which is being put forth is bearing fruit. This is our responsibility and our privilege.

You may be asking, “How do I do this?” Or, you may be asking “How do I do this better?” I pray that you are asking these questions. You see, if you are my partner or my friend in the gospel, then I have the responsibility to see that you walk in the fullness of your calling – so on that great and glorious day when you stand – individually – bore the Lord – He calls you friend and He says “Well done.”

If you are asking, then contact us … we have created an environment where you can develop your voice so that you have greater impact for His Kingdom. We will demonstrate techniques for drawing out the gifts in people. You may need to develop your voice. We want to help you with that. In fact, it is our duty to do so.

I look forward to hearing from you in the very near future.

In His service and yours,

Pastor Dan.
