The Fast that leads to Promotion Part 2.
Clarity, Efficiency, Productivity, Growth and Promotion
Direction, Humility, Repentance, Freedom, Intimacy
Prepare the way, Take the stumbling block out of the way of My people.”
For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
The Fast that YHWH has chosen
Turn from your ways, turn from your pleasures, turn from your words
His ways, delight yourself in Him.
His ways, He is your delight, Use His words
a modest or low view of one’s own importance; humbleness.
Believing and acting on what the Word of God says about you over your own opinion or the opinion of others.
Is this not the fast that I have chosen; To loose the bonds of wickedness and to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of YAHWEH shall be your rear guard. Then /you shall call, and YHWH will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, “Here I am”
If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness, If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. YHWH will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell in.
If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of YHWH, honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking YOUR OWN WORDS, Then shall you delight yourself in YHWH; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of he earth. And feed you with the heritage of Jacob, your father. The mouth of YHWH has spoken.
Put your clothes on the naked.
Feed the hungry with your food
Cover the homeless with your roof.
Gal 6:1 – 5
Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness/gentleness/humility, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself, alone, and not in another. For each one shall bear his own load.
Humility is believing His Word about us. Restoring someone in that sense is not only removing the immediate physical, mental, emotional, social or financial burdens, but the bigger burden of having to live by your own words, stuck in your own ways or addicted to seeking your own pleasure.
Deliverance comes through a constant study of the Word and Ways of Yahshua. Also, be careful – The devil seeks whom he may devour and he doesn’t care if he devours you through devastation or promotion. He will give you what looks like a promotion only to crush you.
Matthew 3 and 4 red letters.
Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.
It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
It is written again, “You shall not tempt the Lord your God.”
Away with you Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.
After Yahshua fasted 40 days and nights he was tempted. Most of us would assume that we would be weakened at this point, but the fast that Yahshua was on was not just one of the flesh – denying himself food and water. He was also denying himself vain words. He was denying Himself powerlessness and just as His word sustained Him through the fast, His word sustained Him through the temptation.
We fast for direction, humility, repentance, freedom and intimacy.
We know that fasting and humility lead us to promotion, even exaltation, but we can not seek that promotion – we must only seek the humility – the obedience –
excessive pride in or admiration of one’s own appearance or achievements.
“it flattered his vanity to think I was in love with him”
the quality of being worthless or futile.
“the vanity of human wishes”
something that people do simply out of pride but that ultimately is inconsequential.
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
Why do you [a]spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.
Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people,
A leader and commander for the people.
Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,
And nations who do not know you shall run to you,
Because of the Lord your God,
And the Holy One of Israel;
For He has glorified you.”Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the [b]wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me [c]void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
