Heaven and earth will pass away before one letter of God’s word will fail. Abraham
was called a friend of God because he staggered not at the promises of God.
Those two thoughts are framing my meditation this morning. They are both
scriptural and they remind me that God is not a man that He can lie and that His
word will never return void.
Yesterday, I taught on Five Foundational Confessions.
1 Jesus Is My Lord – Phil. 2:9-11
2 He has taken all of my cares – I Peter 5:7 I carry no worry or care.
3 I shall not want. I have no lack. Psalm 23:1
4 He has healed me of all my diseases, sin, grief and sorrow. Isaiah 53:3-5
5 He is my wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30
I laid the foundation from Romans 12, Ephesians 4, Proverbs 22 and Matthew 7.
When you meditate the word, you are proactively choosing your thoughts. When
you react to the world, others are choosing for you.
Choose this day, whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the
Lord. I set before you life and blessings, death and cursings. Choose Life.
